Pedro Bento
As Managing Director of Longueville Manor for nearly 30 years before leaving to create wine.je, Pedro is a familiar face in Jersey. He is well-known across the Island for his love and extensive knowledge of wines and spirits.
Pedro has spent much of his career developing this skill to the point where he has been a Sommelier of the Year semi-finalist and winner too many times to mention as well as receiving Wine & Spirit Education Trust Wine Levels 1-3 and a Level 4 Diploma.
A few highlights of his career so far include organising a sumptuous lunch banquet for HM Queen Elizabeth II, winning Boutique Hotelier UK Hotel Manager of the Year in 2017 and appearing with Rick Stein on his Food Heroes television program promoting the cuisine of Jersey.
Paul Dransfield
Paul have over 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has had a varied and interesting career turning his hand to multiple successful ventures. An expert in the world of wine and spirits, Paul is now bringing his 32 years of experience working at Dransfield Stocktakers and Valuers to ensure wine.je is the go-to service for navigating wine markets and supporting cellar management and valuations.
Not content to just immersing himself in the world of wine and spirits, Paul is also a keen poker player and is the co-founder of Devilfish Poker PLC and was the Operations Director for one of the leading poker players in the World - Dave Devilfish.
Another passion of Paul is art and he has previously acted as the European Representative for Michael Godard, one of the most prolific artists in the USA and creator of the iconic Godard Olive.
